Peter Lehman Layers White, Barossa Valley, Australia

Peter Lehmann Wines works with over 140 growers across the length and breadth of the Barossa Valley region, with access to over 750 individual vineyard sites. Fruit for this wine came from selected vineyards in close proximity to Adelaide.

Vintage information

The 2014 vintage started with very hot weather but was interrupted by two days of heavy rain in mid February, After this, the weather settled down and the region experienced wonderful Indian summer conditions for the remainder of the vintage. This allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, producing wines of exceptional quality.

Cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks prior to blending and early bottling have produced a lively and fresh yet complex white wine.

Tasting Notes

Layers is a unique blend that delivers a highly enjoyable journey of discovery for the sense in each and every glass. Finely structured lemon tinged Semillon provides a wonderful backbone to support the soft floral aromatics of Muscat, entwined with the delicate spice of Gewürztraminer. Pinot Gris introduces texture and mouthfeel to complete a wonderfully flavoursome wine.
