John Quarisa has 24 years experience making some of Australia’s most successful wines including stints with McWilliams Nugen and Casella. He is a very well respected show judge and has won two of Australia’s most prestigious wine making trophies the Jimmy Watson and the Stodart trophies. He now makes wines in his own name but doesn’t believe in taking life too seriously so he created the fun Johnny Q brand which is meant to portray wine in a light hearted approachable way like the man himself.
This Chardonnay is aged in a mixture of stainless steel and oak giving it a rich creamy texture to compliment the flavours of peach and ripe pear. The oak gives a delicate buttery note in the background. It would work well with most white meat dishes but I think Chicken or Turkey would work best.
