Kevin Judd spent 25 years as the wine maker for Cloudy Bay possibly New Zealand’s most famous Sauvignon Blanc brand. It was undoubtedly the wine that launched a market for New Zealand around the world. He has now set up his own project producing wine from vines grown over greywacke soils that have his distinct signature of tremendously attractive noses backed up by clean crisp and acidity and a real mouthful of green fruit.
He is only producing relatively small amounts and as in the early days of Cloudy Bay it is released to the UK wine trade by allocation so stocks are strictly limited. Buy early whilst we have some for it is sure to go quickly
